193. Any person who, pursuant to an agreement with his employer, has agreed to defer part of his salary for a number of years and parts of a year determined in the agreement, never exceeding 4.5 years, in order to obtain one year’s or part of one year’s leave of absence, is governed by this chapter.

Any person who, pursuant to an agreement with his employer, has agreed to receive only part of his salary for a number of years and parts of a year determined in the agreement, never exceeding 4.5 years, in order to obtain one year’s or part of one year’s leave of absence, is governed by this chapter.

Any person who, pursuant to an agreement with his employer, has agreed to receive only part of his salary for a number of years and parts of a year determined by regulation, never exceeding 4.5 years, in order to obtain one year’s or part of one year’s leave of absence, is governed by this chapter.
The number of years and parts of a year determined by regulation may, to the extent, on the conditions and in the circumstances determined by regulation, vary according to the category or subcategory of persons contemplated by the regulation and according to the employer of that category or subcategory of persons contemplated by the regulation.

193. Any person who, pursuant to an agreement with his employer, has consented to receive only part of his salary for a number of years, not more than 4, determined by regulation, in order to obtain one year’s leave of absence, is governed by this chapter.
The number of years determined by regulation may, to the extent and under the conditions and circumstances determined by regulation, vary according to the category or subcategory of persons contemplated by regulation and according to the employer of that category or subcategory of persons contemplated by regulation.
